Registration of Ships
Requirements :
a) Classes of vessels.
- Vessels of having the gross tonnage of 100 tons and above
- Vessels of having the gross tonnage of between 15 to 100 tons
trading beyond the port limits.
b) Ownership of vessel
- The vessel must be owned wholly by Bruneian or Body Corporate
established under, and subject to,the law of Brunei Darussalam and having
their principal place of business in Brunei Darussalam.
For the purpose of registration the vessel's owner should forward an off'cial
letter stating:
- Ships's name.
- Type of ship.
- Stating a new ship or otherwise.
The letter is to be addressed to:
REGISTRAR OF BRUNEI SHIPS,
MARINE DEPARTMENT,
SERASA LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AREA,
MUARA BT 1728
NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM.
